I’m back. I have to admit, life got in the way – or, better put, I got in my own way. Because if I wanted to say the raw truth, excuses don’t cut it. And we all have them, don’t we?

I look back on my life over the years, and I realize I’ve always been in planning mode. And always thinking the grass is greener on the “other side”. It is true that it takes time and money to start and build a business. The less money you have, the more time you need. The more money you have, the faster you can build. All elementary stuff, I know. But my point is that there were points in my life where I was laid off and had all the time in the world — but no money. I couldn’t start then! If only I had a job to finance my dreams. So I got a job. And had no time. Oh great. If only I had the time, what could I accomplish!

Excuses.

Here’s the thing. If you want to be successful, it will take WORK. Lots of it. It will take SACRIFICE. It will take EDUCATION. It will take trial and error. It won’t be smooth. There will be setbacks. It can be fun and exhilarating but also scary and frustrating. (Hey, I told you I wasn’t going to lie!)

Want to know something else? Life is hard. It takes work. Sometimes you have to sacrifice (pay one bill over another, not go on that vacation, not be able to take off to see your kid’s show). You still need to educate yourself to stay relevant at your job – or to get ahead. You go through trial and error. It’s not smooth. There are setbacks. It can be fun and exhilarating but also scary and frustrating.

Sound familiar? What’s my point?

I’m experiencing these challenges. I will always experience them – that’s not going to change. What can change is how I handle them. And if I stop letting life get in the way, and “make it so” no matter what happens, then I WILL experience success. And that success will change my life in ways that I could never imagine.

How do I know? Ask Ray Higdon. Dani Johnson. Kanesha Morrison. I could go on, but you get the point.

The one thing I know is that I am NOT a quitter. So here I am. At a new beginning. Ready to kick ass and take names. I KNOW that the only way to fail is to not take any actions at all or quit.

So, how will I do? We’ll see. 😉

I wish you wealth, health, & a happy home! 🙂
Audra

  1. Work, sacrifice, education, patience, support, love and a little divine intervention never hurt anyone. Let the ass-kickery commence.
