Today’s bootcamp lesson focused on making money right away. She suggests calling people in your warm market and asking them to test drive the product you are offering. She’s got some handy scripts that will get you through this. Of course there was way more content in that audio than just that! You’ll have to listen for yourself. I was focused on action items – what can I do TODAY? RIGHT NOW?
I should probably explain “warm market”. That’s simply people you know. Friends, family, acquaintances, business associates. You know, The List.
I decided to take action right away. No time like the present, right?
This isn’t easy for me. I’m a very independent person. I don’t like asking anyone for anything. Of course, if I don’t ask, I won’t succeed in this business because that’s the point! So I have to get out of my comfort zone; and quickly.
Dani said that when she had done this, she had gotten 100% success rate. Those are pretty good stats. So I was confident.
I called my dad. I read the script. He said yes. (He’s buying it tomorrow) I suppose that one was easy, huh?
I called a friend of mine. I read the script. She said yes. (She’s buying it tomorrow…yes, I’m noticing a trend here). She did have a price objection, but when I mentioned that the price of the shakes was less than $3 a day, she seemed ok. Oh, and again, got that from Dani’s scripts.
I Facebook messaged my neighbor. Not optimal, but I didn’t have her number. She said she’d think about it. We aren’t super close (but she’s a nice person).
2 out of 3 ain’t bad. 😉
It was late so I stopped. I’ll find a few more people to call tomorrow and keep going. Truth be told I have 4 boxes of my product sitting in my office (which is now a glorified catch-all space! Ugh). They have to go.
