If you want to be a millionaire, and you weren’t lucky enough to be born one, you have to find a way to get it. Anything else past purchasing lottery tickets (a really bad idea, if you ask me) takes education, consistency, effort, and tenacity. But, none of that matters if you have this:
If you just looked at that word and shook your head, then you are the person that needs to hear this the most, because it’s the truth.
In life, we tend to do things because we *have* to, even if we don’t want to. But we do it anyway, because that’s what it means to be a responsible adult. If you have a sense of respect and pride in yourself, you will do these things well so that they reflect well on you and your family. Or, you do them well because, if you don’t, the competition will take that coveted bonus, job, or accolade from you. Or if it’s doing the dishes, then well, you do it to prevent getting sick. Because getting sick sucks! That’s great – but it will only get you so far.
Let me assure you that you do have passion. Let me illustrate what I mean.
I’m a Walking Dead fan. And just recently, I got “The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land” game for my phone. The game is like most other games: you perform tasks that take up energy, which gets replenished over time. You build up objects to gain more advantages – upgrading weapons, upgrading survivor skill sets, etc. Those objects cost “food” and “experience points” or gold – which you get by building up your food stores or earning it through accomplishing tasks. When you finally upgrade, there is a timer that tells you when your upgrade is finished. Your storage of “food” has a limit – if you go over your limit, you lose any more food you accumulate. So you better use it or increase your storage.
To succeed in this game, which is a ton of fun, you tend to go back to you phone at the appropriate times to do those tasks. The more you love the game, the more tempted you are to do this – during a break at work, at night before you go to bed, instead of doing [pick a chore]. Maybe you’ve even put in a reminder to go back after 4 hours when your upgrade is complete to do [pick a thing].
If you’ve never seen this game before, that’s ok. This entire scenario is the exact same for many Facebook games. Farmville, anyone?
I’ve had friends who have done the same thing with their games – different subjects, scenarios, tasks, etc. but the same idea. And those who really love their games do this – in spite of whatever other chore they should be doing in some cases.
Any football fans out there? Anybody watch every game and commentary? Participate in fantasy football? Play football games on their game system? Tailgate? Scream and holler at the screen? Do you think that Superbowl Sunday should be a national holiday?
I could go on, but you get the point. I am 100% sure there is something that you are passionate about in your life right now. Something that you could obsess on, if you could get away with it. Maybe it’s something that you suppress – because you can’t afford to be passionate about that thing you love, otherwise the rest of your life would crumble around you as you concentrate on your thing. 🙂 Yes, that’s passion.
That feeling right there? That is what you need to become a millionaire. There are as more paths to wealth that you can count. I promise you.
If you want it, you can get it.
A passionate person who wants to be a millionaire will research the available paths and pick on that speaks to her. She will educate herself on how to go down that path. She will wake up thinking about that path, dream about that path, and spend every waking moment having that path on her mind, even while she’s accomplishing other tasks – which will be considered mundane. There are tasks for that path that are boring – but those boring tasks are MUCH better than the exciting parts of her job – or vacuuming.
See, here’s the deal:
When you have passion, you will automatically have the potential to be consistent and tenacious, which are two more characteristics you need to succeed.
Simply put, passion is the gas that fills up the “consistency tank”, “tenacity tank” and the “education tank” and any other thank that you need to propel you to success.
When you have passion, your education will be FUN and interesting to you – unlike organic chemistry or history (no offense, chemistry or history buffs! LOL).
When you have passion, waking up early or staying up late is no big deal.
When you have passion, it is easier to eat your fears for breakfast!
To start your own business. To be a top earner as a network marketer. To crush it in online or affiliate marketing.
You need passion.
Do you have passion?
Then go crush it!
