Is It Really An Objection?
Nope! It’s not. In fact, it’s a great question for someone unfamiliar with the industry or may have heard negative things about it. It means this person is OPEN to learning and hearing your opportunity. So take this question as good news!! This is the time to educate, not persuade!

So what happens if the person is asking from a point of view of skepticism? Answer the objection anyway. And at this point, one of two things will happen:
- S/he will be satisfied with the answer….
- …or not. And will argue with you.
If someone is arguing with you, remember something important: you are qualifying prospects, not the other way around! You don’t want to spend too much time arguing with someone about a well-known established fact. You have other prospects to talk to! Kindly stop the conversation and this person can be a customer or a contact for more leads.
It’s important to note that these are details that frankly aren’t important. The fact is, the network marketing compensation structure works. If it didn’t, then these companies wouldn’t be around as long as they have been! It wouldn’t be a thriving industry in the billions. Of course we want to give our prospect a comfort level, because, unless you are a statistician, the math may not make much sense. So of course an explanation is helpful. But you are not a mathematician – or the person hired to create these compensation plans. All you know is that they work.
Repeat that with me: “All I know is that it works.”
And that’s all that matters. It’s up to the prospect to take advantage of the opportunity. If they don’t, that’s ok. Not everyone can be business owners, some people have to be customers too! 🙂
