Over the weekend, there wasn't much chance to do a whole lot — but I actually *did* do something, which is good!
I did the follow/unfollow Twitter thing.
I changed my website to https (hey….did you notice?). The website changed from “http” to “https” – the “s” part meaning “secure”. There is nothing in particular about my website that needs security, but Chrome is now issuing warnings for websites that aren't, and I'd rather not anyone freak out because they are new to the internet. It wasn't hard — the system I use is the same one that hosts my website (seriously — an amazing deal) — and they posted an excellent step by step tutorial. Anyone could have done it.
I started working on the prospecting thing. Remember the list of people? I started removing people who I won't prospect right now. I am sticking with people living in the U.S. and Canada (from a time zone perspective it's just easier and quite frankly I'm too lazy at the moment to look up any theirs) and who communicate in Facebook in English (because I'm not fluent in any other language). I am also looking at their profiles to see if there are any conversation starters. If their profile is pretty empty (maybe all of their posts are restricted to friends), then there is nothing I can find in common with me to chat about.
So My initial list is slightly over 1,000 people. I've eliminated a bunch but hadn't started any conversations. I need to get going! I'm annoying myself lol.
I'm also doing research to change the template of my blog. I've got to be careful that I don't get myself involved in another project that stops me from my daily activities (I'm notorious for this!).
I also placed a solo ad. 🙂 I'll talk about solo ads in one of my upcoming trainings.
I worked on some of my social media content to get ahead for the week.
I'm starting to get into a real rhythm.
On another note, I saw a wonderful talk by author Michael Twitty who published his book “The Cooking Gene”. I also took the girls to a cupcake decorating event. Family activities that didn't just involve chores! Yay! 🙂

This should be obvious, but I do use affiliate links on some things. I will never recommend something I don't use myself, and you don't spend any extra money, but I get a few cents for the recommendation. Hey, don't hate — duplicate!
